Karijini Yoga Adventure

Dive into the heart of the wild West Australian Pilbara, and one of the worlds most ancient landscapes, where you will hike into gorges which predate oxygen on earth. Your yoga practice will help ground you, empower you, and enrich this life-changing reconnection to self.
Walk from your accommodation at the Eco Retreat, down to Joffre Gorge for a post-travel swim in 'Olympic Pool', then enjoy natural hot rock therapy to relax and recharge. Release into your digital detox, as there is no reception. The only thing on the agenda is sunset yin yoga to bliss you out as you bask in the beauty of the wild landscape around you. You will be staying at the Karijini Eco Resort in shared dorm-style units with shared amenities unless you chose to upgrade to the Deluxe Eco Tents with private ensuite. Your adventure program will include daily yoga, meditation and mindfulness, trekking, swimming, and personal time to reflect. The days will feature amazing highlights, but you will also be given space to rest and recharge. Video here
Taking time to switch off is a part of this program. Plan for it, and enjoy it.
All your meals and healthy snacks will be catered for over the 4 nights/5 days. You will love our picnic morning and lunch sites in the gorges! There will be energy filled snacks to keep you going throughout the days, but if you have your own favorite can’t live without items feel free to bring them along, but remember you’re in charge of your own waste. Each night we will dine at the Eco Retreat restaurant, as who wants to do dishes after a big day of hiking, yoga, and swimming?!?

Imagine 5 days of boosting your body and mind in a super-charged retreat for a Spring into Summer detox. All you need to do is arrive at our blissful beachside resort and everything will be catered for from start to finish.
Your morning Rise+Shine yoga sessions will be led by Katrina in our private group studio. Breakfast will follow at the Health Hub. Your days can be filled with as much or as little as you chose. There are group fitness and yoga classes of all types to tune and tone your body. Beach Fitness with Katrina to detoxify and ground your body, mind, and soul. The resort spa has an amazing menu of treatments to indulge in. You can spend time with friends at the pool, or take time out for yourself in your beachfront suite. Along with the set days activities, there will be little bliss surprises along the way. The intention of the Body Bliss Bali Retreat is to treat you, take time out, detox your body, strengthen your mind, to release, reset, and recharge.
Overlooking the Lombok Strait with island views to Nusa Lembongan and of course, the world famous Keramas surf break, the five - star Beachfront Suites are the perfect place to watch the sunrise over the ocean from your own pool.

Connect with your host, Katrina Thomson, from Horizon Yoga, and your fellow retreat guests on the first evening to share intentions, goals, and good times.
All your meals will be included in your retreat package. The Heath Hub menu caters for all your dietary needs and considerations ( V: vegetarian, P: protein rich, PS: pescatarian, GF: gluten free, DF: dairy free ).
Dive deeper into your practice and explore many different styles of yoga with times and varieties to feel into and program throughout your day.
Vinyasa: Vinyasa yoga is an active, dynamic style of yoga that uses the breath to coordinate ones movements smoothly from one posture to the next. Expect to create some inner heat and sweat.
Iyengar: A traditional form yoga developed and popularised by B.K.S Iyengar. This style will focus more on precise alignment and longer held postures, utilizing a variety of props suitable for all levels.
Restorative: A quiet and extremely relaxing style of yoga to nourish and rejuvenate the body and mind. Postures and held passively while being supported by props to leave you feeling deeply relaxed.
Ocean Flow: A smooth, flowing class that integrates breath and creative vinyasa sequences, balance, deep stretches, and longer holds.
Dynamic Hatha: Combines the strength of held postures and the serenity of breath directed movements, resulting in deep, relieved relaxation.
Yin: A quiet, meditative practice, focusing on lengthening connective tissue.
Pranayama: The formal yoga practice of controlling the breath, the source of our prana/life force.
Mediation: The practice of turning your attention to a single point of reference, by using the breath, sensation in the body, or a word/phrase known as a mantra.
Arrival for Wednesday, October 9, 2019 - check-in will be from 2pm.
You are welcome to plan to arrive earlier in the day and can enjoy the resort facilities till your room is ready. Our group program will begin at 5:00pm.
